Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What can Quicker SMS do?

A1: Quicker SMS is designed to send out text messages (SMS) from your PC through your BlackBerry phones.

Q2: How many SMS in one minute when Quicker SMS send out group SMS?

A2: Normally, 10 ~ 30 SMS will be sent out in one minute with one attached phone. This also depends on performance of your mobile network. Also, the more phones you attach, the quicker speed you can get. Quicker SMS supports multiple phones at the same time.

Q3: Can Quicker SMS only work on phone instead of PC?

A3: Quicker SMS is composed of two parts: one on phone and another on your PC. You can connect them with USB cable and/or Bluetooth. If you do need send out group SMS on phone only, you can consider Future SMS.

Q4: Can Future SMS replace Quicker SMS?

A4: NO. Future SMS is designed for timed SMS on your phone, though it can send small group SMS, such as 10 or more contacts. But if you want to send large amount group SMS or type text on your PC keyboard, I recommend you to use Quicker SMS.

Q5: How much will I be charged when sending out SMS with Quicker SMS?

A5: First, you should pay $28 USD for the license key for Quicker SMS full version. Second, you will be charged for every SMS sent out through Quicker SMS as before. I recommend you to get an unlimited SMS package from your mobile vendor to avoid huge fee.

Q6: Why can’t I see all received SMS in my phone on Quicker SMS PC application?

A6: Sorry. this is caused by the BlackBerry API limitations now. Quicker SMS can only get new received SMS when USB cable is connected with your phone and PC.

Q7: Why can’t I see new SMS in Quicker SMS PC application even when phone is connected with PC?

A7: The question is very difficult to answer. First, you should confirm (Receiving New SMS) menu is checked in Quicker SMS BlackBerry program and no error log. Second, please confirm Quicker SMS PC application is connected with Quicker SMS BlackBerry application well. Third, if still fail, I think you may just leave this issue on. After all, Quicker SMS is a GROUP SMS tool:)

Q8: Can Quicker SMS work on Mac?

A8: Sorry, I love Mac, but I only have a PC:(

Q9: I am using older version of Quicker SMS. Can I update to new version on this site?

A9: Yes, I always advice my customers check www.joege.com to get the latest version and the update is free, you can continue to use the old license key.

Q10: How to input license key to make Quicker SMS as registered version?

A10: In Quicker SMS 4 BlackBerry program, press MENU key and select “Start USB Service”, then press MENU key and select “License Key” menu item in order to save license key.

Q11: How can I edit/export data in Quicker SMS 4 PC application or How can I print all my SMS in Quicker SMS 4 PC application?

Connecting my BB9900 to my computer via USB and keep getting the following message:

“Can’t open the special channel on USB (PIN: 2XXXXXX) phone. You may attach phone to PC first, then RUN Quicker SMS BB side program in your phone”

I’ve added my PIN & password in the Options tab as someone suggested in the forum but the error still happens.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to get this working?

    Thanks very much.

Hello just testing till yesterday evening and after some blind searching I finally found how to select my BB Torch 9800 into a pop-up list for USB connection : sorry it’s not that intuitive !
A user documentation would be welcome + a windows installer to register inside Windows (using Win7 64bits) to avoid to confirm each time after closing program that the program was correctly installed whereas “no installation” was occuring. Could you please package it ?

Solution: click mouse right button at Quicker SMS 4, go Properties, Compatibility, tick/check on “This program is this compatibility mode execute” and choose “Windows XP (Service Pack 2).”
